Wish Me Home by Kay Bratt

This story by itself deserves 4 stars but unfortunately I am not used to the style of storytelling. The narration felt stilted at many times. I have binged on the heartfelt variety of fiction and those have set my bar too high.

Apart from that basic setback the story was very good. It follows a twin who has set out on a solo road trip with no aim in mind. A dog decides to follow her on this journey. She meets both the best and the worst of people along the way. The repairing of her soul is part of the tale.

The journey talks about who  she thought she was vs what the reality could actually be.

It did not make me shed tears at any point , hence the critical assessment. But it will definitely please some people.
