Kindred (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery #5) by Steve Robinson

The following are the previous books of the series. I list them out all here because they culminate to the revelation produced in this book. There seem to be more books to come but this particular book closes a very important chapter in the life of JT our genealogist.

  1. In the Blood (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery #1) by Steve Robinson
  2. To the Grave (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery #2)
  3. The Last Queen of England (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery #3) by Steve Robinson
  4. The Lost Empress by Steve Robinson

This book starts exactly where the last one left off with JT travelling to Germany this time. Also new this time, Jean Summer( a history professor) is by his side from the start to the finish. This book dwells on World War II with Nazism being the focal point of Tayte’s past. The only spoiler I will reveal, is the fact that he does have a concrete answer to what his family tree looks like by the time the book ends. This book has villains after JTs life, hidden secrets and lots of information. This book was very interesting and the only reason I just could not bring myself to give it five stars was that I figured out the big revelations last evening and brushed it aside without consideration. So the big ‘Ahha’  moment did not make an appearance when the story went down that road this morning. Otherwise the book is definitely one of the better ones of the series.
