Narrator: Cris Dukehart
My recent turnover of all the kindle unlimited books I have been listening to has been pretty quick. I have been quite decisive in stopping and exchanging anything I was not enjoying pretty quickly. My last audible review was of Mirror Gate (Harbinger #2) by Jeff Wheeler. It was something I really enjoyed. This book was pretty great as well.
For all those who do not know who Morgan Dean is, there are a lot of books based in Scarlet Falls, but I have listed the reviews of the ones which focus on Morgan and her family. Her brother is still missing from the stories but sister’s life is set in the other series’.
It has only been six months since the first book, and the Morgan is still not used to being the one on the side defending ‘criminals’. In this particular case, Hailey(our new client) is lucky to have Morgan on her side because she has been accused of the unthinkable and her fuzzy memory of the night the murder happened are not helping. Once Morgan is on the case, there is a lot of leg work involved. They dig through evidence, talk to people and basically work really, really hard to get to the truth. The narration is brilliant (as usual) and the whole experience is pretty fast paced. If you are a fan of the genre or of Morgan or of the author do check out this book or the series .
The people are a delight to revisit and a new character has been introduced with faint hints about a recurring role. This is something I am looking forward to in the next book.
My Kindle unlimited list now looks like this:
I am planning to do some craft/sewing work this week as well as study for my language course so the number of reviews may come in spurts like this. This may be a good thing, only time will tell!
Terrific review, Anjana, and I love the looks of your Kindle Unlimited list. I want to read The Girl Made of Clay, and the new Mark Edwards is outstanding!

And I do love the spooky narration that usually goes with a Mark Edwards book.. Thanks for telling me now I might even bump it up the queue ☺️☺️
