This has been another strange month. My blogging has been in sporadic spurts of posts followed by silence. After many iterations of that process, I have higher hopes for the month of June, especially since it is usually when I do a couple of memes.
My post for the last month was: April 2020 Books Vs Moods – My 1000th post!!. This is my version of a wrap up where I end up not mentioning the books I did not enjoy. The other characteristics of this recurring feature is as follows:
- The moods are those that I think each book will be best appreciated in.
- Within the mood, they are not listed in any particular order.
- All covers link back (or should) to the full reviews, in case you missed reading them earlier.
- And if you think of a new mood I can further add to my classifications I am all ears!
Restless energy (Chase/thrill/ominous atmosphere)
Rainy day read(cosy/comfortable/Tearful/Joyful)
Reading group analysis( Profound/cerebral/debatable)
Miscellaneous Character-based (These did not fit any specific mood – that I could think of)
Since there only ever seem to be GAD or similar old mysteries in this column if I should make another ‘mood’ which mood would you read old mysteries in if you were a mood reader?
Learning Mood (For learning something new)
Mood of the month:
Rainy day read(cosy/comfortable/Tearful/Joyful)!!
Hopefully the next month will have a more variety to choose from!
Perhaps the Innes and Gilbert titles could be read when people are in the mood for a puzzle to solve?
