The Grémillet Sisters : Sarah’s Dream by Giovanni Di Gregorio

Alessandro Barbucci (Illustrator),
 L. Benson (Translator)

I have not read as many graphic novels this year as I usually do, but this was tempting. This is a story of three sisters whose mother goes missing one day.
As they hunt for their mother, the secrets behind the eldest’s dream, each shows their own unique characteristics. It is a simple narrative with fantastic illustrations that seemed to leap out of the page. The only strange point was that the severity of the search versus the actual resolution seemed odd. It would probably work better if there were more adventures of the three sisters linked together.
Pick this one up for the brilliant art as well as for sisterly bickering that will seem all the more relatable to anyone who has a sister(s).

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.
