Modern Kogin: Sweet & Simple Sashiko Embroidery Designs & Projects by Boutique-Sha

I have been woefully lazy in doing anything creative with my time the past two months. I went through this book once and kept postponing writing a review until I actually tried out any of the projects. I then decided to talk of the book without the experience of actually having done the project but looking and admiring them instead.
This book is about a Japanese embroidery style called Kogin. I did not know such a thing existed till I picked this book up, but since then, I have seen mentions of it all over the place (which is how such things usually happen with me!). The instructions are simple, the requirements are listed out clearly and colourfully. The actual implementations of which I am not very capable of answering. The projects are all ‘simple’ as the title proclaims and are not supposed to take much time. I would recommend it to anyone looking to try a new craft or who have a working knowledge of Kogin.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.
