Comics & Graphic Novel, Humour

Oddball by Sarah Andersen

I follow the author on Instagram and enjoy her panels regularly. This means that I am pretty up to date with the panels that she has put out thus far. Even with that prior experience, I found the significant bulk of this collection to be new, and even the repeats feel fresh.
The title and the cover page set the tone perfectly. The collection is specifically a tribute to the oddness inside everyone and the thrill when you see someone else as weird as you. Many panels can all be collected under this umbrella, but each was equally hilarious. I could see myself in many of them, which could be the highlight of the reading experience.
The illustration is simple and a little caricaturish, but this is something that regular readers would expect, and it does not take away from the impact of the individual narrative.
It is the kind of book that you feel like tapping anyone close to you or accessible to you and sharing the page you are on! It is solid gift material.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.
