My last few posts for this month-long Non-fiction lookback were:
- Non-Fiction November 2022 Week 1: My Year In Non-Fiction
- NonFiction November 2022 Week 2: Book Pairings
- NonFiction November 2022 Week 3: Stranger than Fiction
- NonFiction November 2022 Week 4: Worldview Changers
I sort of cheated once again. I went through everyone’s posts only for this blog post and picked out the ones that caught my eye from them. This way, I ensured I looked at all the posts and did not miss the ones that went online after mine did for the respective weeks! Please link back to Jaymi @ theOCBookGirl. The whole thing wraps up tomorrow!
The list of books and the blog that I got it from are below:
- Eiffel’s Tower for Young People by Jill Jonnes : Musings of a Literary Wanderer : I must be one of the few who was not blown away by the romantic angle of the Eiffel Tower when I visited. I was more interested in the engineering behind it. This book might get me more interested in Eiffel Tower as a whole.
- Ever Green: Saving Big Forests to Save the Planet by John W. Reid, Thomas E. Lovejoy : Unsolicited Feedback : A topic that always draws me in.
- Thirteen Ways to Smell a Tree: Getting to know trees through the language of scent by David George Haskell : AnnaBookBel
- Vigil: Hong Kong on the Brink by Jeffrey Wasserstrom : SilverbuttonBooks : Just another HK book I might read sometime!
- Humble Pi: When Math Goes Wrong in the Real World by Matt Parker: Plucked from the stacks
- Secondhand: Travels in the New Global Garage Sale by Adam Minter : Melissa Firman : I have not yet ventured into buying second-hand clothes, but I find the entire topic quite fascinating
- Beyond Possible: One Soldier, Fourteen Peaks — My Life In The Death Zone by Nimsdai Purja : Helen’s Book Blog (One other blogger also suggested this, I lost their name somewhere in the bookmarking stage!)
I have finally gotten around to buying (note: not reading) books I put on my TBR from NonFiction November 2020. Hopefully, I will eventually read these too. They do sound interesting.
I love that you are finally purchasing books from your 2020 NFN – I am right there with you!

It was me who mentioned Nimsdai Purja’s book, but the version for adults! I waited my post until the Friday to pick up on other people’s choices, too!

I regularly visit your blog so the bookmark must have gotten mixed up. I did not even realise the two posts were talking about different versions! 🙂

I love your method of choosing books for this prompt. And I’m thrilled Humble Pi made your list! Thanks for participating this year.

I actually liked a lot more of your lists, but I had to whittle it down to ones that I would actually buy (eventually) and read! 😀
